The project was to pretend you were making a scene from Dr. Doolittle. The kids had learned about Comparative Psychology (yes, elementary students were learning about this) and they had to choose an animal with an emotional problem, discuss the possible causes, and act out the scene. It’s a weird mix of sophisticated stuff and…well, Dr. Doolittle.
This group chose a kangaroo that had PTSD because he saw his mother (and I quote) “become roadkilled.” He couldn’t cross the street after that (what is this, some kind of joke?) and wouldn’t eat because he was depressed. Vincent (the bucktoothed fella there) was being the baby kangaroo.
He’s not really bucktoothed, but only his four middle adult teeth have come in so when he smiles or opens his mouth he looks super buck-toothed. But really it’s just that his canines are missing.
Ridiculously adorable kid.
